The rubbery thing that replaces the standard velcro is awesome for pedals with a metal casing bottom, but not so good for ones with a rubber bottom. I advise anyone to buy the additional tool for easier removal of the mount. The mount can also work for pedals that are slightly out of the dimensions that are listed.

I bought a bunch of these plates for my Boss pedals. Unfortunately, these are not the best fit. When you screw this plate on it is not flush with the pedal, there's quite a gap, and the supplied protective rubber mats that are supposed to go between the pedal's guts and the plate do not make much of a difference. I have to admit that I don't own a Rockboard pedalboard and I was hoping to accommodate these mounting plates for another pedalboard type. Regardless, these plates are not a perfect fit for Boss pedals from my experience. It's much easier to just flip the back cover of the pedal and use velcro.
