It does indeed reduce the sound a lot! The compromise to the sound quality is not that big because you can play in an appartmet with an acoustic set without having to spend great amounds of money to a good e-kit. I use those with the Millenium QuiHeads and I have to admit that they sound a bit more compared to the toms/snare/kick drum, but it can be adjusted by either puting a piece of cloth on top of them or adding a gaffer tape below and at the top of the quiet drum heads to increase their volume.

Eitherway, my experience with them so far is good and I totally recommend for the ones that want to use in an appartment.

I'm a bit confused about the quality, as the red color goes off when I use the brush. I'm not sure how to comment on that. It's suitable for beginners and exercise, but it's not anything more.

This is a great set for the value

It's really nice to have a full low volume set at such price. Even a China included.

We use it in a rehearsal studio and it sounds nice.

Excellent value low volume cymbals

I was after a low volume set of cymbals and decided to go with the Millenium Stills as the price was great and included the extra China which most sets of this type don't. I was really surprised at the sound, as despite them being quieter they are still articulate in tone and quite vibrant. The hi hat I found particularly fun and bright to play.
The china is the weak link and doesn't quite deliver the trashy effect i wanted but as a set for £150 you really can't complain. My only other criticism is the red finish appears to be coming off the inside of the hi hats as the top and bottom rub during play.
