K&M 24630 is bet in it class - stable and sturdy, easily can hold a heavy light fixtures at the top, the only drawback is that wit a larger load is not so easily to lift or lower it, the quick sprocket really helps, also the spring at the bottom, but when they are fresh - you have to hold down it with one leg when you extend the tube, even when screw lock is loose. Also would be nice to have a sprocket for locking legs open on its widest. There for one star down, but all in all - unless you are willing to spend crazy money for a simple stand - this is perfect, stable, durable, easy to use.
