Stand-alone instrument
It would obviously survive a nuclear strike. At first glance, it's just the looks, especially if you're a lover of these beautiful seven lobed knobs like me. What I'd like to emphasise now is first and foremost the ability to be a standalone instrument, i.e. you don't necessarily need any input. It is a mecca for noise musicians and sound artists. When the instrument starts to self-oscillate, it turns into a one-handed instrument using the Resonance, Cutoff and mod level potmeters. Control this to a mixer and with external effects the variations are endless. Don't forget that this little box is also a quasi-stereo DI box in itself, with symmetrical line outputs. It turns any mono instrument into a beautiful stereo instrument.
