AMAZING

Received this guitar well packed and was shipped fast.
I unboxed the guitar and you could smell the lacquer, the guitar came straight from the factory to Thomann and within a few days, it is in my hands. The guitar was out of tune out of the box, but that is expected, however, I was blown away by the sound as soon as I started tuning the guitar. Tuners are precise and they are engaging right. After tuning it to standard E, a slight adjustment of the neck was necessary, few turns and the guitar was all set. The first chord I played and I literally got goosebumps. The sound so balanced with rich overtones, consistent over all strings and frets, and yes, no buzzing frets. My fingers are pretty sore right now since I couldn't put it down for the rest of the day. The craftsmanship is out of this world, my 1500 USD Les Paul had more flaws than this one, and Yamaha had NONE! In conclusion, I expected a great product because it took me some time to pick the acoustic guitar and I did some research, but I was BLOWN AWAY! Get it, you won't regret it!

I'm very pleased.

I'm very happy with my purchase. It sounds great and plays well. The action is ever so slightly high despite adjusting the truss rod as much as possible myself. There are some very minor imperfections but overall it's beautiful and well priced. I plan on keeping it FOREVER!

Yamaha FG830 NT Review
Anonymous 10.12.2016
This is a review of the Yamaha FG830 NT.
Had one these popular Dreadnoughts many years ago and foolishly parted with it. Always missed it. With Yamaha's 2016 release of the 50th year anniversary models, the time was right for me the buy again.
The 2016 FG830 has improved the build with Scalloped Bracing and rosewood back and sides. Looks wise, the binding is of a vintage cream colour and the sound hole features abalone inlay. The instrument looks beautiful and is finished to a high standard. Mine was nicely set-up right out of the box. Playability is fantastic. Modern slim neck, satin finish, plays fast and easy. Sound is where the FG830 shines. This is a lot of quality tone for the price. The Dynamic range is very impressive. It has the boomy low end you would expect but its high end is crisp and clear. The mids are also great, the rosewood and the new bracing giving a round nice punch.
This is "the number 1 sold acoustic guitar of all time" with good reason. Highly recommended.

Enjoy strumming it
Renewy 03.08.2017
My first acoustic guitar was Yamaha F310, I love it,
the action is good, just a comfort play, sound also good but as I bought it used, it came with scratches. So a few years later I decided to make an upgrade,
something new and better sounding, so I went with Yamaha again and have no regrets at all.

For this money this guitar is a great piece. Sounds really great, I tried alot more expensive guitars and this one compares to them. The only thing is that you have to tweak string action a little bit, but when you're done - pure joy.

I'm playing Blues, Funk, Folk, some acoustic rock covers. This guitar is good not only for strumming,
but also it is great to play some fingerstyle songs!

The best strings that I think suit this guitar are Daddario 11-52, the best match I reached so far.

If your budget let's you get this guitar,
order it without a doubt.
