very high-quality product. but does not muffle as much as I expected. I dont record so could not tell any difference between it solid and with optional parts removed. Its does muffle both front and back at once, but is only useful for the size bought for, EG i bought mine for e 18" bass drum and it therefore useless for my 20". I have gone back to a towel /heavy blanket for a more universal/adjustable effect.
