I've had 8 years of use from my Roland drum pad. I use it through a Alesis drum brain as a kick drum for an acc duo. It's still going strong after being kicked hard at so many gigs. I can't fault it's design or durability except that the jack lead seems to be starting to fall out mid gig recently, I solved this with a bit of sticky tape so rock on the next 8 years.
I purchased the Roland PD-8 V-Drum Stereo Rubber Pad to extend my Roland SPD-30. I have used it as a hi-hat pad and a crash pad but you can assign it has any kind of drum/pad. The pad is pretty standard and has two trigger zones. There are better pads out there and pads shaped like cymbals but this one worked perfectly for my needs.
