One Rane to rule them all

The Rane System One is an all-in-one standalone DJ system with motorised turntables, combining the hands-on feel of vinyl-style mixing with modern digital DJ workflows – all without requiring a laptop. Built around Denon's Engine DJ platform, it allows DJs to work directly from USB drives, SD cards, or external hard drives, while also supporting selected streaming services and DJ software such as Serato DJ and Algoriddim djay. True to Rane's focus on performance hardware, the System One features an extensive effects section and a large array of performance pads, alongside stem control that allows compatible tracks to be separated into individual elements for more detailed, creative mixing. A responsive 7" touchscreen provides clear visual feedback and system navigation, working in tandem with precise physical controls and the robust build quality Rane is known for. Integrated lighting synchronisation is also supported via the Engine DJ platform.

More than just standalone

In standalone mode, the Rane System One plays tracks and stems directly from connected drives or supported streaming platforms, with track analysis and library management handled internally via the Engine DJ system. The System One can also operate as a controller for DJ software environments such as Serato DJ and Algoriddim djay, making effective use of its clear interface and responsive touchscreen for navigation and feedback. The effects section is extensive and tightly integrated into the workflow, while the 7.2" motorised platters provide the tactile response required for scratching, beatmatching, and pitch-based mixing techniques. Together, these elements combine standalone playback, controller functionality, and professional audio performance in a single, robust DJ system.

This is how we do it

The Rane System One is designed for professional DJs and venues where reliability, tactile control, and performance consistency are essential, including club installations and touring setups. Its motorised aluminium platters appeal particularly to vinyl-focused DJs and turntablists, offering the familiar resistance and response needed for scratching, beatmatching, and mixing tracks that don't always lock cleanly to a grid. Standalone access to USB media and supported streaming services allows DJs to work from extensive music libraries without relying on a laptop. Optional software integration ensures compatibility with established club workflows and rider requirements, making the System One equally at home in fixed installations and professional mobile rigs.

About Rane

Rane was founded in 1981 in Mukilteo, Washington state. The MP 24 mixer, introduced in 1986, was considered the club standard for 20 years. The Bozak-style MP 2016 mixer and the accompanying XP 2016 equaliser were launched in 1999, long before rotary mixers went mainstream – they are still in high demand today. Their genes live on in the excellent MP 2015 mixer. In 2003, Rane released the Serato Scratch Live, one of the first DVS systems, and even though Serato now operates independently, Rane still makes Serato-optimised hardware, such as the Twelve, a motorised DJ software controller with a twelve-inch control vinyl, which was introduced in 2017. Its technology is also present in the Rane One series. Since 2018, Rane has been part of the vast inMusic Brands family, which encompasses Denon DJ, Akai, M-Audio, Numark, Alesis and Stanton, among others.

Rane over the dancefloor

In live performance situations where reliability and fast setup matter, the Rane System One is designed to minimise preparation and external dependencies. Tracks are played directly from connected drives, while Bluetooth audio adds an additional playback option for a phone or other wireless source. The finishing touches to a night in the club come from the System One's integrated lighting capabilities: Compatible Philips Hue and Nanoleaf fixtures can be synchronised wirelessly for simple, out-of-the-box lighting scenes, while more advanced users can incorporate professional DMX lighting via the SoundSwitch ecosystem and external interfaces. In this configuration, lighting cues are prepared in advance and synchronised with Engine DJ playback during a performance, keeping sound and visuals tightly aligned without adding complexity in the booth.

ie neue Messlatte für motorisierte Controller – Pure Emotion!
DJ Dattelkopf 26.01.2026
