Una Florida V più versatile del previsto

Dopo più di un mese di utilizzo posso dare una valutazione più precisa di questa imboccatura Otto Link Florida V 7 per sax tenore. In passato non mi ero trovato bene con il metallo e partivo quindi con un certo scetticismo. In questo caso, però, ho trovato un buon compromesso: la risposta è stabile, facile da controllare e il risultato complessivo è superiore alle mie aspettative.

Il timbro risulta leggermente più chiaro rispetto alle ebanite che ho utilizzato, ma rimane equilibrato. La camera tonda permette comunque una buona presenza sulle frequenze alte senza diventare eccessivamente brillante. L’unico elemento da considerare è la legatura: funziona, ma tende a piegarsi facilmente e richiede un po’ di attenzione.

Con questa imboccatura mi sono trovato bene usando ance D’Addario Unfiled 2M e Rico Royal 2, che mi consentono di passare da un suono più scuro a uno più brillante quando serve.
