The problem with the pre 2025 refresh is that they don't have yet the scalloped bracing all 25 D-28 versions come with. I spent my days playing it daily and it was lacking as a bluegrass player then I tried an HD-28 and it was night and day. For songwriting or backing a singer it's clear and articulate but it's a background instrument
