What a fury, this b-te-l !!!!

Patrice8043, 18.03.2017
Received in good condition, no blows on the body, together very homogeneous. Very light but very effective, it feels like Guilmour in a 5150, ie a velvety of Steel and Velvet.

The vibrato is Floyd Rose black matte, and holds well the chord, made in Indonesia, great success.

Nut well adjusted, frets not sharp, not too wide.

The 22-piece maple neck is so thin that you feel like it's designed for a child, very thin and ultra flat to play fast, and the maple-free glued on top instantly transmits All the dynamics of the linked notes, without confusion, and the Alnico V microphones are so incisive that it is better to dose the balance between the 2 volume buttons to adjust the quantity between each microphone (handle + bridge). They do not lack bass, medium or treble, there is everything necessary to spray the dentures of your neighbor who does not like your repetitions to repeat.
The two volume pads prevent unintentional "Kramer Thanks" feedback and also effects of vilonning and Kill Switch without additional needless switch,
Because beyond 3 pots made gas factory.

I tested the guitar on tube amps in a well-stocked shop where I found an Evh 5150 III, a Randall EOD88, a Mesa Boogie JP2C, all with 4 x 12 "Celestion Greenback, it sounds everywhere harmonics Which are either distinct or even superimposed, the sound is never rough, each note comes out sharply and distinctly,
The highlight of the microphones is the power and clarity,
Like the seymour Duncan 1989, with more juice,
Even when cutting the acute frequencies and high midrange, in favor of a darker sound, it is very well felt on the boogie JP2C and the EVH,
And the unique tone button is ample enough,
The sound palette of the 3-way selector is accentuated by the 2 volume buttons allowing to dye the spectrum of the low to the treble through the low and high medium, a great success for a small toy that is difficult to separate Even after the last note of his solo.

The vibrato holds the chord perfectly, small indication,
Mine tilts slightly forward but the notes and harmonics do not play false, it scrapes down to the ground or there are almost no more low frequencies.

Kramer's small sticker KRAMER and especially small keys Allen just behind the head, is well thought out, because few other brands have done, and there is a small sticker for each key, very convenient.

Small info, this type of guitar with its pickups is capable
To play the country or folk in picking by engaging the volume (s) back, on my Marshall Plexi of 1972 gain of exit to bottom, and while remaining very clear!

Ben no, Kramer is not dead at all, proof.

Super Strat

W.s., 20.06.2018
Let's start with a few features:

Body: Mahogany, quite massive but not too heavy, asymmetrical therefore comfortable at the cut stomach more pronounced than on a Strat, thickness 44/45 mm, for a weight of 4 / 4.5 kgs, superb metallic red paint well enough finished for this price range!

Handle: maple, maple fingerboard added, D-neck a little thinner than on Ibanez (which remains a reference in finesse), but very comfortable anyway, only complaint: the heel a little too thick for easy access to acute, but compared to a Strat is similar. Adjustment of the body / sleeve junction perfect.
Frets properly laid and medium type relatively wide, nut width 43 mm. Painted head identical to the body.

Hardware: vibrato type Floyd good quality and relatively massive, nut blocks rope ditto, except for screws rusty arrival !!!! (as well as the keys 6 pans behind the head !!!!). The mechanics are for me the weakest point of this part, they are "soft" (even tightened) and not very precise, fortunately the saddle blocks ropes is doing the job! The knobs knobs are of good quality and the micro switch also. Delivered with ropes in 10/46 which are a change obviously because already oxidized.

Electronics: no parasitic noise on the volumes, relatively progressive, micro switch quite confusing at the beginning of its size, but does the job well, 3 positions 1 / sleeve, 2 / bridge pick, 3 / bridge, a volume by micro , and a general tone (not phenomenal by the way!).

The pickups: the bridge pickup brings a bit of breath distortion but nothing dramatic, good sound for the rhythmic "hard rock", the neck pickup is when it's pretty warm and round, their output level is not very high but I already knew it and it suits me, for big heavy metal rhythm is a little fair, but it is not his vocation that is rather typical year 80.

Now let's play game:

very good comfort for me knowing that everyone has his taste, nice handle in satin finish, quite fast. the config microphone and knobs can scan a lot of registers but in clean: it's not his thing, despite everything it is possible to find funky sounds with the help of volume, the Tone is not his when very convincing, it can remove the breath of the bridge pickup by cutting a little gain, but will catch up on the amp level, otherwise it does not color the sound at all.

To properly locate my assessment, my game is typical rock / metal, with blue plans, all in rhythm and schredding also, used to play on Ibanez type guitars, I have a good knowledge of the quality of instruments, in range from 300 to 1000 euros, the more I have never tried, I do not have the budget for, and after it is the guitarist who does the instrument not the opposite!

Conclusion: it is a surprising guitar, because it has a manufacturing quality more than correct for the price and good sound typed metal of the year 80/90, plus it has a "super nice mouth!
The only defects in the box: handle: too dug, bridge: back and blocked on the table, action: too high and forcing false intonation, all this probably due to transport and storage.
The nut screws and rusty BTR keys and the polishing bands that are for me an obvious problem of storage.

But who did not make custom settings, following a purchase of serial instrument? it is the obligatory passage for a comfort of play adapted to each one.
FYI I managed to an action of 1.7 mm for a handle almost flat (0.2 mm curvature), of course it suits my game, but it indicates the possibilities of this instrument.
Very satisfied for me, it suits my expectations, whether in terms of play, finishes and aesthetics. if you are looking for a super Strat to have something other than just winding, it has serious assets!
