"he never sounds the bells!"

Rudolf201, 04.07.2014
Hello,

I ordered 2 of the Jensens.
I built the two 50 Watt Jensens into a 2x12 guitar box.
Wiring in parallel to come to 8 ohms at 16 ohms each.
On the said guitar box hangs a "The Twin", which was redesigned for weight reasons to the top part.
Since I use this box with this amp only for clean stratsounds primarily, I also use the merged channel mix of "The Twin", which offers the design of a vintage Strat sounds a la Mark Knopfler more effective options. Even original sonds a la "wicked game" can be realized with the Jensens via a twin 1 to 1 for recording.
Hammermäßig what loudspeakers make the sound.
The Jensens sound very nice vintage moderately woody, warm and soft bells silky in the upper frequency range.
Which does not mean that they can not sound bitingly funky.
Do it, just in style. And it depends on the setting on the amp.
For rocky distorted sounds, I would not necessarily recommend these speakers, as they are very present in the heights, which is not my thing in Gain sounds necessarily, but this is not the twin with the Jensens thought.
For assertive Strat sounds with the "out of phase" attitude a la Mark Knopfler are the Jensen Speaker TOP, vorrrausgesetzt one hangs as in my case also an entsprend lelistungsfähige final stage.
I still use a Digitech Main squeeze, which gives the whole thing the finishing touch in the appropriate style and I'm very happy with the Jensens and the cleansound they deliver in the overall set up now.
Also as far as the price, I think you can not complain.
Including the prompt delivery service of Thomann, this was and is a "round thing" that is fun :-)

C12N on Classic 30! It works !

François148, 02.01.2017
I bought this C12N to equip my amp Peavey Classic 30 replacing the original HP which I will say nothing more. Unlike many people who replace this speaker with English material, I chose the Jensen C12N for its brilliance, in order to produce a sound closer to Fenderian amps.

The goal is reached ! While the power tubes of my amp are EL84, while the amps I am referring to are rather equipped with 6L6, but the result is there, I got the clarity and precision sought for the improvement of the sound of this little amp very nice.

The equalization is to be reconsidered as a whole. Where the bass drooled as soon as they were pushed with the old HP, it should instead do not hesitate to solicit a little, now. And there, the neck pickup of my Strat takes this characteristic color that we know about the amps I am referring to.
The midrange knob seems to have become active and effective unlike what I knew before, allowing better work the sound.
On the other hand, for the acute ones, one must know how to dose them as accurately as possible, and especially according to the instrument used. They can easily become gaudy, with a medium-quality bridge microphone on a Telecaster like mine, for example.
That said, the setting is easy because much more progressive than before, and my C12N still has only a few hours of play The break-in probably relax a little bit of it.

Anyway, my amp now has a much more complete sound palette, clear sound more powerful and a saturation that is a little closer (or more than a little) of what I get with my big Twin Amp (except all the same the movement of air and the presence, among others!) allowing me to work in better conditions in particular repetition.

I am not unhappy at all with this purchase and I would do the same choice, especially if we consider the price / quality ratio of this product.
The risk was quite high since it is very difficult to obtain precise information on this configuration C12N / Classic 30 obviously not much used by the musicians.

I hope to bring some info to those who are considering an identical transformation.
Be careful though, do not expect to turn your Peavey into a Fender!
