Can't believe something so cheap would sound so good
nabilhuakbar, 09.04.2020
I love this bass! I've heard lots of stories about how great these basses are so I decided to try one out myself. I got it for noodling at home and occasional recording.

I plugged it in an played it along with two songs...one with just the neck pickup and one with the neck pickup at full and bridge pickup at about 40%...and I was floored in both cases. It has a very meaty, full mid tone that both sits very well in a mix but also stands out. Mixed tones are also fantastic, and the low B string absolutely sings. This bass is very hot, and I'm still kind of surprised it's not active. It just sounds lovely.

It's very playable, and the fit and finish are well above what you'd expect for a bass in this price range. The neck is a thick baseball bat of a neck but it's also very stable. Once the bass was acclimated to the temp in my house, all I had to do to finish setup was to tune it and set the action. Neck relief was spot on.

The only con I'd have so far is that it has a fair bit of neck dive, but that can always be offset by a thicker strap. I absolutely recommend this bass to anyone.

1. I received the goods in good packaging (I live in South Korea)
2. The quality of the product was fine and the pick-ups worked well.
3. The pick-up knobs also worked well.
4. It is stable because there is no noise even if I don't touch the bass guitar strings.
5. The weight is light.
6. I like the sound of the product, too.
7. It's easy to play.
8. It took two weeks to deliver such a good product.
9. Overall, it's a very good product.
10. I'm willing to buy it again.
※My next target on the premises is to purchase an electric guitar.
I'm looking forward to it.
Thank you.

Extremely hard to fault
Madjon, 22.08.2017
I've been playing nearly 30 years, in the last 5 years i've dabbled with a 6 string ibanez and hated it, a yamaha 5 string and hated it but have always wanted a 5 string to play those few tracks requiring a low d or below without having to detune a 4. This was a last hope and having also purchased earlier in the year a harley jazz bass, which is outstanding, thought i'd give this a go.

Its astounding, playability, set up, tone, action low, no buzz at all.

Its tone with both pups up is a little musicman esq, the jazz pup is nice and honkey as it should be and the p nice and fat, tonally really very good.

Finish is really beautiful with perhaps the vintage aging of the neck being a slight tacky let down but thats really being very picky.

Gigged within 3 days, bandmates loved it, tone superb, 3 hours played no complaints.

I could not find anything else in this price that seemed to fit the bill 5 strings, classic looks, basic simple, decent wood and the gamble paid off.

The only other point is the weight, i thought they'd forgot to pack it, its so light compared to my other 4's and previous 5 & 6. Awesome!

I would opt for this over pricier basses, stuff named brands, this is just good honest playabilty and tone, really well done thomann, only dilemma now is do i sell my £1000 instruments.

Outstanding
