Gibson custombucker: the vintage tone I was looking for.

I instantaneously felt the vintage tone I was looking for, specially with a Les Paul: easy breakup (you don't have to raise the pickup height or turn the gain up like crazy), fuller rounder raunchy creamy airy sound (Paul Kossoff vibe), very articulate and pleasant, and easy to control with the knobs.

Thanks Thomann for the fast delivery: it is a very expensive item, but it was worth it!

En remplacement de Burst 61's sur une Gibson Original Collection Standard de 2023.
Le son du Custombucker que l'on peut entendre sur les CS de la marque. Beaucoup de douceur en clean, de la bonne agressivité en sons saturés. Un son à tomber...
J'ai monté un set....et que du bonheur.
Vous voulez upgrader votre gibson...n'hésitez pas. Si vos micros ne vous satisfont pas pleinement...foncez!!!

Vraiment satisfait !

Je souhaitais améliorer une Les Paul Vintage V100, notamment en changeant les micros (au passage, montage en lieu et place du micro d'origine, sans avoir à retravailler quoi que ce soit). Possédant déjà une Les Paul Gibson studio, je me suis dirigé vers ce micro pour le bridge car je cherchais un son équivalent (pour ne pas avoir à modifier les réglages de mon pédalboard si changement de guitare)
Facile d'installation (un fil sur le potard son, et l'autre à la masse) ce micro est au delà de mes espérances.
Le grain est précis juste comme il faut, le son est clair sans être trop "criard". il y a une brillance qui donne tout le charme à ce micro.
Lorsque je compare mes deux Les Paul, il y a une petite différence, mais qui donne un charme à chacune d'entre elles.
Je referais cet achat sans hésiter !

Perfektes Upgrade!

Viele Faktoren bestimmen ja den Klang einer E-Gitarre (Holz, eines oder mehrere Stücke, welches Holz, aus welchem Baum, der Lack, die Hardware, die Saiten, etc.....), aber eben auch die Pickups haben einen großen Anteil.

Der Gibson Costumbucker hat einen unglaublichen ausgewogenen, sahnigen und vintagemäßigen Klang, der meine Gitarre sehr aufgewertet hat!

Ich habe ihn in meiner Epiphone 60s-SG mit Maestro Vibrola in der Stegposition eingebaut und den Epiphone Probucker 3 ersetzt. Die Epiphone Probucker klingen ja seit 2020 Bauserie ja wirklich gut, sind quasi Nachbauten der Gibson Burstbucker. Wie gut diese im Vergleich sind, kann ich nicht beurteilen.

Allerdings was der Costumbucker mit seinem Vintageklang, low Output, Wärme und Klarheit aus der Epiphone rausholt, ist der Wahnsinn! Herrlich harmonische Obertöne, mittig, fetter PAF-Crunch und dennoch kann man jede einzelne Note hören, kein bisschen matschig.

Das Upgrade hat sich allemal gelohnt! Auch Verarbeitungsqualität alles super! Die passenden Schrauben und Federn sind auch mitgeliefert. Letztere sind sehr stark und ein bisschen Gefiesel beim anbringen, aber mit Ruhe und Geduld kein Problem.

Als großer Greta Van Fleet Fan habe ich jetzt den Sound gefunden, den ich gesucht habe! SG mit Vibrola mit Gibson Vintage Style Humbucker drin, großartig, für einen angemessenen Preis. Natürlich ist der Costumbucker nicht günstig, aber ne Gibson Costum Shop Gitarre kann sich eben nicht jeder leisten, aber seit kurzem einen Hauch davon :-)

An dieser Stelle auch vielen vielen Dank an Kris und das Team vom YouTube Kanal "Thomann's Guitars and Basses"! Dank der Videos zu Pickup-Tausch und Elektronik löten habe ich den Tausch auch als Leihe alleine sehr gut hinbekommen und bin mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden!
