The patch will protect the head, no doubt. But the ends already came loose without even playing it so ir doesn't stick to head well. I can imagine having to press it sometimes. It also alters the sound in a negative way in my opinion. I would suggest a Remo or Evans patch.

these guys can peel off..my one keeps peeling..even though i put it on a new, clean head..gibralter need to get some better glue!

Edges like to peel up

It’s okay and does what it’s supposed to do, but I’m always finding myself having to re-stick down the edges as they keep lifting up overnight.
