Since we brought a very old upright piano to life, our piano tuner recommended that I get a tuning hammer so that I can sing along those who are torn up at the first "tune up".
The cheap tuning hammer I could find at Thomann only through a Google search, as Thomann recommends this not for pianos.
That's right, because he just is not meant for that, but you can use him for that!
At least on some of the more than 100 years old tuning pegs he does not fit well.
After a small modification, the tuning hammer fulfills its purpose, I simply inserted a thin metal plate and thus you can also tune the thinner tuning pegs.
The lever arm is perfectly sufficient to tune the strings.
If you have to tune a string from time to time, because you have an old piano in your heart, which of course requires more attention than mass-produced goods from the Far East, then you can easily buy this tuning hammer!
The workmanship is very good at this negligible price.
The material quality of the head with the square is good, here nothing bends away, or deforms under the immense load of the tuning pegs.
