Slight traces of use

All Tube Electric Guitar AmplifierAfter giant racks with pre- and power amplifiers and expensive studio effects have been state of the art in the 80s, more traditional systems (head + 4X12 or a combo and a handful of stomp boxes) are more common at the moment again. A small amplifier keeps reappearing again and again: The Fender Deluxe Reverb. Compared to the larger Twin Reverb the Deluxe has a lot less power and has a harmonic overdrive even at moderate volume levels. Of course, great clean tones are possible, but the versatile "sweet distortion" is what so many guitarists appreciate and love with the Deluxe. Therefore the amp is the number 1 for many blues musicians, as well as for modern super guitarrists, such as Michael Landau. The fender-typical spring reverb and a tube vibrato effect allow even more "vintage"- sound variants.

Fender Modern Times Top Amp

Teser, 12.02.2010

The requirements for my new Fender Amp were clear: full-tube amplifiers, fender-like sound, integrated reverb and vibrato.

Thus, my choice fell on the Fender 65 Deluxe Reverb. The Amp for the island ...

Car, 24.08.2013
If you were only able to take an amp with you to the island, many guitarists would decide for this. Why?

For the official sound you should have at least a 12 "speaker. More and bigger affects only the weight and finally on the own back.
100 W are usually much too loud. My 100 W Plexi is never on the stage. If the volume is 2 (from 10), the windows are already flying out of the windows. In addition, you need three helper to wear when the amp is in the case ...
The 22 W of the Deluxe for all (!) Stage sizes completely out, and are then mostly too loud! Besides her belongs to the variety, which gladly the Stagesound with their noise to fill and afterwards the blender responsible for it :)
On giant stages, there is more guitar on the monitor, so what!
So: big enough for the 12 "but small and handy enough to transport and loud enough to stand on the stage.

To the sound:
The Deluxe is an all-rounder. Of course, its domain is the cleansound.
Federhall and tremolo are very good and can be used both live and in the studio absolutely!
With appropriate kickers you can bring him but prima ancrunchen or completely. It is even heavy distortion possible, the amp makes here however optically not so much ago. Death Metal bands usually prefer full stacks :)
The basic design of the Deluxe Reissue is already good at the factory. It is really great when you exchange the Jensen for an (old) speaker of his choice.
I had old Blackfaces, which sounded much worse than my Deluxe Reissues with old Speakern.

Conclusion:
Replace the loudspeaker, buy the Flightcase (the best transport insurance for tube amps), find suitable floor mats and get started!
My two Deluxe Reissues run since 1995 and 2002 with the first set of tubes and have never disappointed me!
