Für Shadows-Fans mit mit scharfem Blick...

Die hier vertretenen Hits aus den frühen 60-er Jahren sind für Gitarre 1 und Rythmus-Gitarre sehr originalgetreu notiert worden, mit jeder Menge Symbolen zu den Ausführungs-Techniken. Es gibt einen umfangreichen viersprachigen Anhang, in dem all diese Feinheiten erklärt werden. Das Notenbild selbst ist ohne Zahlen für einen Fingersatz. Dafür steht unter der jeweiligen Notenzeile eine Tabulatur. Leider sind die Zahlen in dieser Tabulatur e x t r e m winzig gedruckt. Auch mit der bestmöglichen Brillenoptik
ist das wirklich ein schlechter Witz :-(( !!! Es kann also schon sehr mühsam werden, bis man sich die Stücke erarbeitet hat. Darunter leidet bei mir die Freude an diesen Klassikern schon etwas !... Dennoch ist dieses Notenheft für mich eine interessante Bereicherung .

Wer sich dieses Buch zulegt, hat eine Zusammenstellung der wichtigsten Stücke der Shadows. U.a. Rythmus- und Leadgitarrenspur sind aufgeführt. Dazu findet man Details für die genaue Spielweise (Bendings, Slidings, Tremolos usw.) als ebenfalls genau erklärte Zusatzsymbole.

Anfänger seien gewarnt: hört man sich die Shadows an, klingt alles recht einfach - das ist es aber beileibe nicht! Das ist eben ein Merkmal der Profis, daß es sich leicht anhört (weil perfekt gespielt), es aber nicht ist. Anfänger sollten also zunächst andere Stücke zum Nachspielen heranziehen, Fortgeschrittene und Profis erhalten eine sehr genaue Spielanleitung für absolut originalgetreues Nachspielen.
