Not had them long but I'm smitten

Bought these for an Epiphone explorer that had been without pickups for a criminally long time, I won't lie a part of the appeal was the solderless installation, and I don't have room for a battery so passive was also necessary, I expected these to do a job well enough to be worth the money but after messing around with them for an afternoon they've exceeded my expectations. They seem really comfortable covering a decent range of tones, I've not got the best ear in the world for tone but I can't find a reason to fault these at all!

Weit besser als erwartet!

Auf der Suche nach neuen Pickups bin ich über das EMG Friedman Set gestolpert. Eigentlich war ich nie Fan dieser Pickups, da ich sie immer etwas „steril“ fand. Umso interessanter war es für mich, dass ausgerechnet ein Virtuose wie Friedman ein EMG Signature Set hat. Also habe ich mich belesen, Videos geschaut und Demos angehört und schließlich die Pickups bestellt, die nun in meiner PRS Core Starla werkeln.

Die EMG MF sind klassisch klingende High Gain Pickups, dabei aber sehr dynamisch und offen. Von warmen Humbucker-Sounds bis zu singenden High Gain Leads ist alles möglich.

Unterm Strich bin ich sehr positiv überrascht. Ich hätte einen okayes Set erwartet und habe viel mehr bekommen als ich erwartet habe. Verarbeitung, Sound und selbst die Verpackung sind hervorragend.

Schade, dass niemand dieses Set auf dem Radar hat. Ich kann es jedenfalls uneingeschränkt empfehlen!

Hatte ich auch auf dem Radar

Die Überschrift bezieht sich die Erstbewertung dieser MF EMG PU's.
Ich war auf der Suche nach ein paar wertigen passiven PU's (mich nervt das ständige 9V Blöcke horten) die sich in sämtlichen Metal Terrain zu Hause fühlen. Ich habe diese in meine DIY grün gebeizte Mockinbird gesteckt. Optisch ist dieses gebrushte Chrom mit den sonst schwarzen Knöpfen und Mechaniken schonmal absolut Sahne. Dann getestet über den Paul landers sansamp über eine Palmer 402 Endstufe in die Gitarrenbox.
Was soll ich sagen....Hat mich einfach umgehauen. Ich kann ja nur für mich subjektiv bewerten ob was gut klingt oder nicht. Aber das klingt einfach nur geil. Kann mich da der Erstbewertung absolut anschließen.

Buen sonido, afilado y buena calidad

La verdad yo le doy un 10 a las pastillas estás.
Tengo una IbanezRG370 y desde que le cambié a estas pastillas ya la cosa cambio bastante y para bien, los grabes ya no se superponen y los medios están muy bien equilibrados. Sumando que en altas Ganancias/Distorsiones suenan muy bien armónicos, es buena compra.

Lo único, si tenés una superestrato o una stratocaster, mandala al Luthier porque hay que agrandar el agujero ya que son de LP las pastillas
