Progress in the clonewheel area

Manfred D., 16.08.2016
As the owner of a Hammond A100, as well as two HX3 organs, I was, of course, curious as to how Crumar's newest baby will beat in comparison.
From the Hammondsound, as well as from the "Beigaben" sacral organ, Coboorgel (Vox, Farfisa) and E-piano (Rhodes and Wurlitzer), the organ can convince here fully. The possibility to make settings via Wlan is great! A smartphone is always at hand ...
Crumar offers the possibility to adjust 20 different console Hammonds (B3, C3, A100 of various years), as well as many organ, combo and Epiano parameters, which also succeeds just before the appearance.
Processing is acceptable. The only criticism is the economical Presetverwaltung (in each case only two for Ober- and Untermanual). The possibility to store only pure drawbar settings (without drive, vibrato, sound and hall settings) is similar to the original (Inverstasten to the Hammonds), but is now no longer state of the art. The North, HX3, Hammond Suzuki better - Crumar should improve here!
I would place the pure Hammondsound of the Mojo61 over that of XK-3C, SK1 / 2, Nord C2, Roland, Korg and equal to the HX3. The Crumar is just very close to the original. Excellent is the chorus (C3) which comes closest to the original of all clonewheel devices.
As a small weak point I see the Overdrive, which me personally too much mashes. On the other hand, the built-in Leslie is good and can be an alternative to a genuine (in my case 147 and 3300).

All in all, the Mojo 61 is absolutely worth your price!

Suitable for a vintage man

Bluesmies, 07.05.2018
Good: sounds, touch, appearance, texture, size, clear adjustments, mobile app accessed under the "bonnet".

Small criticisms: in combo-ur sounds and clavinet's sounds, the lowest sounds are mute, wood finishing is not perfect, the LEDs are very bright and the brightness can not be adjusted. The vibrato / chorus switches off the power off and does not restart the device while it restarts, even if the other settings do not.

However, the Hammond sounds and piano sounds are so good that criticism remains very small in the whole.

I give a special mention to the touch. Especially the Hammond department inspired so that other players have started to feel like toys. Many digitalisation clinicians do not mind this player. The sound of the organic-sounding than the other devices that I have played. If there was something to do to you, I would not hesitate to get a similar place for a moment.

In addition to Crumar's own expression pedal, Yamaha FC-7 also works with this. Lead foot LFX-1 did not work properly (I had to restore it).
