The Ableton Push 3 further refines the formula that made its predecessors central to Live performance. Retaining the familiar 8x8 pad matrix and display, the Ableton Push 3 introduces major innovations that extend its role beyond controller into expressive instrument. Chief among these is the fully MPE-enabled pad grid which responds to pitch bends, slides and pressure on every note, unlocking new dimensions of expression while keeping Live under tighter control. Navigation is streamlined with a jog wheel, raised-ridge buttons while the Session Screen mirrors Live’s clip grid directly on the device. Used with a computer, Push 3 delivers the tightest integrated Live control to date, with the option to upgrade into the full Push 3 Standalone model via the upgrade kit.

Deeper Live integration

The Ableton Push 3 takes integration with Live to the next level. The new Session Screen displays the clip grid, complete with cursor and jog-wheel navigation for easy browsing and scene-launching. Encoders adjust pitch, velocity, length and probability of notes directly from the hardware, while thirteen rotary controls and a touch strip map to dozens of Live parameters. The redesigned pad grid functions in both Note and Drum modes, while the firmer raised-ridge buttons improve tactile feedback and accuracy. Connectivity includes USB-C for computer and power, a USB-A host port for class-compliant MIDI devices, and dual pedal/CV inputs for sustain, footswitches or modular control—expandable via the official upgrade kit for those needing more.

The Ableton Push 3 serves a wide spectrum of musicians. Seasoned producers will value the deeper integration and faster workflow, with device editing, sequencing and mixing accessible entirely from the hardware, freeing the pads for Note or Drum modes. This looks absolutely incredible. The quality is top-notch. The screen just blows me away with its level of detail. The pads themselves feel fantastic, and the colors and capabilities of this device are simply astounding.

Super Upgrade

Ich hatte vorher den Push 2und war mir nicht sicher, ob der Push 3 sich wirklich lohnen würde. Jetzt, wo ich ihn habe, möchte ich ihn auch nicht mehr missen. Die MPE–fähigen Pads sind der Knaller. Die Standalone Version macht für mich wenig Sinn, da die Akkulaufzeit zu niedrig ist und sich keine Plug-Ins einbinden lassen. Ich hatte etwas gehofft, dass die
Gummitasten nicht mehr so viel Druck benötigen wie die Vorgänger Version aber leider ist es immer noch so. Immerhin sind sie geräuschlos, was bei Aufnahmen von Vorteil ist.

Le contrôleur est de très bonne qualité. Pas forcément pertinent de l'acheter si vous possedez la version 2. Par contre si c'est vôtre premier, que vous maitrisez un peu Ableton et que vous souhaitez performer avec vôtre contrôleur (en concert par exemple), allez-y les yeux fermés !

Push 3 - Rethink your world

Hey, So having little music production knowledge and Ableton usage, I delved into this after reading many reviews. I also took a course on Push 3 (worth it) and am about 10% in the course. I also have a 49 NI keyboard which works well with Push. You can use the Push 3 as a audio interface and it works great - which I have (but it has some cons).
You will look at scales differently, with this machine. Easyu to play your triads, diads and extended chords. That blew my mind a bit. Beats, creation and playing around are so much more fun. Think less messing around with the computer and more focus on actual real phyical buttons. Also if you like to have buttons - this one has it. Although they can be a bit hard to press, the hardare is of a solid quality and it works flawlessly with Ableton out of the box. Also my NI which was a bit painful to install in terms of firmware and software, works well now with Push.
The price is concering, but with future updates secured and Pushs good customer track record, I feel comfy with this for years to come.
