I'm a fan of reverb and plate in particular. A real EMT 140 isn't a feasible option though. I hunted for a good pedal version for years. The UA Golden does this specific thing extremely well in the studio (line level stereo) and on my pedal board (analog dry pass through). The controls are limited but really thoughtfully chosen. There's only one memory slot and the WYSIWYG mode, but both have their own switch for ease of use. I have the plate on the memory slot and what ever other mode on the left switch. Tweaking blend and parameters is really easy and intuitive, which makes this a solid live performer and a creative tool in the studio for me. The sounds are the big thing though. The reverb is really high quality and organic sounding. Even though I have a real tube driven spring and tons of quality plugins on my DAW, I often end up using the Golden still. Not the most feature packed reverb pedal, but really high quality pedal through and through. This thing is power hungry though, so better check your board power solution before buying.
