Glow-tähti himmeässä soundissa, vain katkaisu puuttuu
RobertWittager 21.08.2020

Miinukset:
- lähikuva vaikutus hyvin herkkä vaatiin taitavan mikrofonin käyttäjän

Hyvää:
- enemmän vastinetta rahalle kuin "merkit"
- tarkka selkeä ääni, joissakin tapauksissa jopa muistuttaa lauhdutinmikrofoneja, joilla on hieman silkkisen äänen ominaisuudet

Kristallinkirkas ostossuositus!
Olen pääkalloni kanssa kirkaampi kuin koskaan!
Vahva suositus!

Ka
Shure 58's crowntaker!
Kouvolan ainoa Sinkkumies 19.02.2019
After 1000 gigs on stage, I have always been looking for the next number one mic to ring my voice out to the pub's audience. I started with akg's d5's, d7's, and the classic sm58. Akg's had the presence, but lacked in warmth. Sm58 was way too "uptight" for a baritone like me, when I hit the higher notes above High A. For years I turned to Condenser mic's like Akg's C900 emotion, which is still my number one for leading bigger Rockshows.

Still on acoustic gigs, condenser mic's seemed to take the stage too much from backup singers and even guitars. I found Sontronics solo for about half a year from now. It has the perfect balance between the uptight sound versus the presence of condenser mic's. Low register sounds nice with a rich high register. Audience has referred my highest screaming notes lately to Axl Rose, but that depends always on singer. Good Mic, really worth the 110¤ and more. Haven't tried it on intsruments, but regarding to the scale it can ring sounds, it must work well on those too!

And it's heavy! Quality comes with a mic that feels like an.... piece of man (or woman) made wood!

Good mic for male voice
Eetu Alatalo 06.11.2022
I bought this mic to replace old AKG D5. The D5 was always kind of muddy and required lots of EQ to get my voice sound clearer. With this mic EQ tweaks are minimal and voice sounds clear and ”airy” in the mix.

Only drawback is handling noise. If you use it on stand its ok, but if it’s handheld there will be more noise than D5. This it not a problem for me because mic sits always on stand, but it’s something to be considered if you are lead singer.

Used for live punk rock vocals
aftino 04.03.2019
I'm the lead vocalist for a punk rock band and I was in dire need of a mic that has a clearer, more rounded-off & warmer sound, better ambient rejection, more feedback resistance and more robust build quality and aesthetics than the omnipresent 58. I also specifically was looking for a wired mic, since I was always under the impression that my wireless 58 kit was lacking some growl.

Upon opening the box and holding the mic for the first time, it's apparent that it's really built like an armored vehicle - even more so than the Shure. It's milled from a solid piece of anodized metal, and is heavy - but reassuringly so, and not in an inconvenient manner. It's also very stubby and short, and all black, with laser-etched branding. It's a lovely object to hold and to behold.

Sound-wise, it's very nuanced for a dynamic mic, clear in the highs but with very little-to-none need for deliberate de-essing. The marketing hype says it doesn't really need any EQ-ing, but plugged straight into a full-range single-speaker PA, I really did need to cut the lows, by... a lot. That said, it doesn't really run as low an output as your average dynamic, hence does not need that much gain increase for it to sound good.

Overall, a great buy, and a mic that I believe will indeed outlast my life expectancy, no matter how much abuse I'm gonna be throwing at it throughout its gigging life. I do, indeed, believe that it would benefit from a bit of compression and a decent amount of EQ-ing, hence my next link in the chain is going to be a pedal-format mic preamp (just ordered today).
