I'm a big fan of the xxx - sound series HB and Joyo created together, inexpensive tools to really boost the sound of your amp.

The EQ on these things is massive, and they come loaded with an Impulse Response (imitating the sound of a speaker as a digital copy) so these tend to work better to a clean channel, particularly transistor amps can get a nice kick to their sound from one of these.

The sound is wonderful once you get tweaking a bit, but does muffle if you try to push it to already driven channel. The pedals work well for both bass and guitar, bass being the application I use them for these days.

The profile is all that driven Cali sound from the big MB, ranging from california tweed of the 70's to modern triple rectifier style, from the ones I've tested this is a personal favorite of mine, going from this mild boosted crunch to a screaming metal machine.
