Thomann should never send this instrument in the state it is
It has never been set up.
1- Neck relief not setup
2- String height not set
3- neck angle wrong had to shim neck
4- 12 string saddle had no threads in one of the two holes
5 - Electronics not grounded properly
6 - g strings had higher output than others.
First the saddles have two holes and on each saddle and one of each hole is not threaded so i had to buy a M3 hand tap and thread them myself. I then adjusted relief on neck, easy enough. Since i would need to take strings off to tackle the electronics i will leave that for another day, also to shim the neck i will leave till strings are off. Saddles had to be lowered to the deck. I will get this playable but i warn anyone not tech savay to stay away from this instrument

A totally different thing to play some great tones and a great thing if you play guitar and want to get mandolin sounds without learning mandolin fretboard amazing value for money.

Sounds like a Million Dollars

I love this mandolin. The tone is excellent, the pickups are true, and the fretboard is a dream to work across.
If you are looking for another gig or session instrument, grab one of these!

Almost but not quite

The BendolinE is almost brilliant.
Fantastic design, great colour and it does sound lovely. Mostly the build quality is amazingly good for the price, but there are issues, at least with the one I had.
I could live with the not perfect intonation, that's a fairly easy job, and being able to adjust all 12 strings is a real bonus. The big disappointment was the very rough fret ends which made it uncomfortable to play. Fret filing is a job best left to an experienced guitar tech, and a bit costly for an instrument that is such an affordable price.
Sadly, I sent mine back, but would definitely buy another if I was sure the frets were finished to a decent state.
Such a fun guitar, but not quite good enough quality control.
