This little box is a true monster! EQD made this to be as close of a cranked Sunn Model T as possible, and I have to say they have very well made the pedal that rips and roars. The gain this unit produces is overwhelming. This is not for the tweakers, since there's only one giant knob in the thing to increase or decrease the volume of the pedal. However, using your guitar tone and volume smartly you get lots more out of it, from milder but raunchy overdrives to saturated vintage hard rock sounds.
Does it sound cranked? Oh, yes it does. The sound is dynamite and the pedal has tons of output, being extremely and insanely loud when fully clockwise. Still, it's not a one trick pony. The pedal is very responsive to your guitar's volume and tone pots, and your mic selections matter here, too.
The box itself is sturdy, LED is bright and clear, the switch pleasantly noiseless and the whole thing should go through a nuclear war intact. Bonus points for nice visuals, as is usual with the EQD pedals.
I've been playing this loud with humbucker and P90 baritone guitars through Vox AC4-112 tube combo, Trace Elliot Supertramp 100w hybrid combo and Taurus Vandall 1000 bass stack; the bass amp made it react a bit weird with some lower frequencies, but other than that it has been impeccable Doom / Stoner / Sludge dreadnought. For me this is definitely a keeper for life.
