Lee Oskar replacement reed plates
Vivian R. 12.06.2013
Thomann is the cheapest & most reliable outlet I have found for this product.
I have tried many harmonica brands & Lee Oskar are, in my opinion the best value for money by a short head. Having said that, I have found that new plates are not always perfect & occasionally have a "sticky" note. I still think that the harmonicas & the spare parts are extremely expensive given the fact that they last such a short time. I have twice tried emailing the company direct to complain but have received no reply.

Buy these instead of a new harp!
Consettbaths 23.11.2017
Purchased these for the band's Harp player after it became noticeable in a recording session that his G Harp was a bit off. This was a major problem as our guitar player knows very little music outside the key of G.

Most people will go out and buy a new harp at this point but it's really easy to replace the Reedplates, undo a few small screws swap the plates out and put the harp back together.

The Harp sounded as good as new, and better still was in tune! Our Harp player stopped worrying about his sound and went back to wearing his cowboy hat at a jaunty angle. All was well again in the world.

Pro's. Save yourself some money, think about replacing the reedplates before the Harp or find a guitar player with a chord book or capo.

Cons. None really, a bit fiddly to change but it's not too taxing.

Making Harmonica's Economical
Gaz. 09.02.2015
Firstly, Lee Oskar harmonica's are excellent value, they are loud, need less air, and make bending notes very easy.
Secondly, the large Key Letter in white is clearly visable at each end of the comb in 1st and 2nd positions, this makes them extremeley easy to read in gig venues that are dimly lit.
Thirdly, the replacement reed plates make these harmonica's very economical, and they are easy to fit. Highly recommended.
I've used Thomann several times now, and each time customer satisfaction is their priority from start to finish.

Reed plates.
Peter R. 438 10.05.2015
Although Lee Oskar harmonica's are not the best sounding or easiest to play (by a long shot),
Lee Oskar harmonica's find their way into my gigging harp box for their cheap replacement parts, saving almost 50% on new harmonica's.
They last about the same time (hours being played) as all the others (no longer) around this price and always the same one reed that blows (sucks) out of tune as all the other make of harmonica's around this price.
We cannot change reed plates on stage when they go out of tune, so a second (set) harmonica's, ready plated is good to have. I did try a box of "cheapo's" for standby, but its so hard to adjust to a cheapo 1/2 way through a gig, sometimes a cheapo will sound better for a moment, but not for long, no matter how gentle I am with them, they turn dull sounding in little time, about one number if there's a drummer in the band..
The music pays for my harmonica's, but indirectly, the money is out of my pocket, hungry most of the time, musicians with any sense will find Thomann a good & reliable source of musical gear, at a good & sensible price, what ever your instrument
