Ibanez RGD71ALPA-CKF

Empezaré por lo bueno:
La guitarra es muy cómoda, es preciosa a la vista y tiene un sonido espectacular tanto en limpio como en la distorsión, ya sea usando humbuckers o con el splitcoil.
Lo malo:
La guitarra es imposible tenerla afinada ni 10 segundos, en cuanto la afinas y le pones las manos encima, se vuelve a desafinar, es algo continuo y no se si el problema es del puente, de las maderas que son muy sensibles a los cambios de temperatura, a la cejilla o a las clavijas. No me ha pasado nunca nada así ni tan siquiera con guitarras low cost. El acabado de la guitarra es bastante bueno pero tiene algunos errores que me parecen imperdonables para el precio que tiene, como por ejemplo el puente monorrail que vienen un par de tornillos mal ajustados y una cejilla de plástico del malo para la cejilla.

The guitar was very well packaged and came out of the box in a very playable condition.

I have the BareKnuckle aftermath set in my 6string LTD and in this guitar they sound even better. They sound very resonant, hot, quite punchy but also very clear and articulate. Even if there is no tone know there is quite a lot of sound options with the coil-split and when you engage it you can really get that spanky fenderesque single coil feeling and in all 3 positions the sound is quite different, interesting and unique.
The guitar has some pretty clean sounds as well that are very nice and chimey sound. But don't be mistaken when a drive is engaged it just makes you play metal, at least in my case, just makes you want to chug and play modern progy riffs. And it sounds brutal!

After the unpacking i just retuned the guitar to e-standard (drop-A). The intonation was spot on, and there were no sharp frets. The guitar is beautiful and plays great. There is a neck dive, the paint/finish is weird on some parts and some parts are not quite smooth. When i roll the volume know i can hear the crackling sound that makes it kinda unusable to clean up the sound on or to play with it while playing. Small things that don't impact the playing and enjoying the guitar but kind of when you look at it a little bit as a nitpick is anoying especially the volume know sound when using. That's why i gave it 4 stars for quality.

Otherwise for my 1st 7string i'm very happy with it, an awesome instrument.

Ich fange Mal mit den positiven Punkten an.

Beim Auspacken der Gitarre dachte ich mir erst mal "Wow, sieht die gut aus!". Auf den Bildern kommt gar nicht rüber, was für ein Blickfang diese Gitarre in Realität ist.
Für eine 7 Saiter finde ich sie auch angenehm leicht, was mir sehr gefällt.
Auch das Halsprofil ist Ibanez typisch super angenehm zu spielen. Den flachen Griffbrettradius und das breite Griffbrett mag ich sehr.
Mein persönliches Highlight sind allerdings die Bare Knuckle Aftermath Tonabnehmer. Egal ob Clean oder High Gain, die Pick Ups klingen unglaublich gut. Ich habe die Gitarre auf Drop A# mit einem zusätzlichen tiefen F gestimmt. Das tiefe Tuning meistert die Gitarre easy und klingt dabei richtig mächtig, sowohl im Studio als auch über den Röhrenamp. Die 26,5" Mensur hilft dabei natürlich auch viel.
Die Werkseinstellung war ebenfalls in Ordnung. Intonation hat bestens gepasst, Saitenlage war für meinen Geschmack bisschen hoch, ist aber ja auch immer Geschmackssache.

Dann habe ich allerdings noch ein paar negative Punkte und zwar alle in Bezug auf die Verarbeitung.
Zum einen was den Paint Job angeht, gibt es da einige unsaubere stellen.
Auch hatte die Gitarren von Anfrag an ein paar kleine Schrammen und Dellen an der Kopfplatte und am Korpus. Alles nichts weltbewegendes, aber sollte meiner Meinung nach nicht sein.
Ganz komisch fand ich jedoch die Rückseite des Halses. Der fühlte sich richtig rau an. Ich bin dann mit Politur über den Hals gegangen, seit dem ist er richtig geschmeidig. Zuvor hat sich dieser aber nicht sonderlich wertig angefühlt. Zudem war das Griffbrett sehr trocken. Dieses habe ich auch gleich noch eingeölt. War für mich jetzt alles nicht schlimm, weil ich mir zu helfen wusste, aber bei einer Gitarre in der Preisklasse hat mich das schon sehr gewundert.

Im großen und ganzen bin ich sehr happy mit der Gitarre. Optik, Sound und Bespielbarkeit ist hier einfach Bombe.
Klar, paar schwachen in der Verarbeitung, die in der Preisklasse vllt nicht sein sollten, aber die anderen Punkte haben für mich eine höhere Priorität.
Deshalb 5 Sterne.
