Harley Benton MR-Modern CAR

The guitar is finished with a beautiful candy apple red and the maple neck is great. The fretboard and markers are excellent. The coil split knob (tone) came off when pulling up, but was fixed by spreading the split shaft slightly. The tone pot is very noisy when splitting the pickups as well as when turning to adjust the tone.

The only real negative is that there are several low frets which result in string buzz when trying to lower the action such that it feels like my other guitars, which include other Harley Bentons.

I am comfortable with most adjustments, but leveling the frets is not something I have done and it would cost $180 in my part of the world.

I've had this guitar for about 8 months now, and it never ceases to amaze me. The switchable single coil/humbucker pickups are absolutely fantastic, and really accurate. The locking tuners help keep the thing in tune remarkably well, especially when using the whammy. I've played live with this guitar quite a few times, and I'm not afraid to be energetic with it, because it's got a really solid robust feel. Last of all, the quality of the finish is superb, many people have complimented it. Overall an absolute gem to play, and great value for money.

According to all specifications and quality, the guitar should belong to the upper range of electric guitars.
The only complaint is the high action of the strings, even after the setup is done it is not possible to have the low action that I personally prefer, but that is individual. Certainly the problem is in the frets, but in that price range with such a good sound, surprisingly good pick ups and locking tuners there is no serious complaint about the guitar. Someone who is just entering the world of electric guitars can get a lot of guitar for very little money

aber diese Gitarre sieht schon nicht normal aus und auf den Fotos kommt das gar nicht so raus. Aber gleich mehr dazu.

Vorab: Die erste die ich bekommen habe, hatte einen Fehler im Lack an der Front aber das wurde problemlos und sofort getauscht. Keine Diskussionen kein rausreden - garnix ! Sehr gut Thomann - So geht Kundenservice !!!

Die zweite ist perfekt!
Ja das gibt es. Aus dem Karton raus - gestimmt und sofort Spaß damit haben. Die Locking Mechaniken sind klasse. ( Wenn ich auch die Farbe nicht schön finde. wieso nicht Chrom / Silber / Schwarz )
Der Sound ist super-Die Pickups machen was sie sollen und das mit genug Druck. Ich spiel auf der Gitarre alles von Clean, Blues bis zu Rock.
Die Original Saiten sind da auch wirklich Brauchbar und gut ! Noch etwas mehr Klang bekommt man mit den Elixier Saiten raus. Aber Was man da fertig bekommt ist mehr als gut. Die Push-Pull-Funktion des Tonreglers ist für mich etwas das ich gar nicht brauche aber wer einen Single Coil Sound auch noch will kann sich damit ja evtl. anfreunden.
Alle Regler funktionieren Tadellos und nichts wackelt. Ich habe nun schon einige schöne Stunden mit Ihr gespielt und kann diese Gitarre bedenkenlos empfehlen.
Absolutes Highlight ist die Farbe / Lackierung. Das ist glaube ich das schönste was ich an Candy Rot gesehen habe bis jetzt. Die außergewöhnliche Form in Kombination mit der Farbe ist der Hammer.

Für alle die nicht das haben wollen was jeder hat und die verschiedene Dinge Spielen wollen, ist diese Gitarre an Herz zu legen !
