Gibraltar CS-20A Cymbal Seat Sleeve
This is a new product to me. I wanted to try something other than felt (Which is ok and provides a good reference point) but I'm after something which gives even less damping to the cymbal sound. The pack says, "Rubber", but it's really soft plastic (Elastomer to materials technologists!) and the domed seating surface minimises actual contact area with the cymbal. This gives a cleaner and brighter sound. I note that another reviewer states that these are "Good with smaller cymbals", and I totally agree.(Peter7602). The increased weight of larger cymbals inevitably presses down and increases the contact area, so there's a bit more damping, but nowhere near as much as with felt. The illustration only shows the lower seat and sleeve - The most important point of contact. The upper part is just a mirror image of this before the wing nut goes on. I know sometimes we don't bother with anything on top and in this case the top could be used on another sleeve if the sound of these mounts really wows you! You could even use the old felts on top if you don't have enough of these new mountings!

Superb - bring the best of the sound out and stop keyholing dead
These are another little secret tip... bring the best in your cymbal sound and end in an instant the risk of keyholing. Wish they sold these in bundles, but otherwise cannot fault and come well recommended!

Good for smaller cymbals
The curved construction makes the movement of small cymbals smooth and free. When using felt or neorprene under a small cymbal ther can sometimes be a "hard" hit against the stand when the inside of the hole hits the stand. This is almost completely eliminated with this cymbal seat sleeve.

The best
To me this is the best solution because it's cheap, it doesn't mute the cymbal at all and also prevent it to spin too much! It looks really durable as is made in rubber material and you can replace the inner plastic tube sleeve if needed, it also comes with the upper part (not visible in the photos) Great product!
