RB
A great bass with some drawbacks
Rudolf Bock 12.04.2026
The Warwick RB Corvette is an excellent bass with great build quality and feel. The sound is somewhat reminiscent of a PB, but it's more robust and clean with a bit of a fretless-like tembre.

What is a drawback? The strings are approximately 4 mm high at the 12th fret straight from the factory. It felt unpleasant to play.
After adjusting the truss rod, nut, and bridge, I was able to achieve a playable 2.4 mm for the E string and 2 mm for the G string. The Warwick basses here are top-class. Their ability to adjust is exceptional!

Very disappointed with faulty neck
Adi Bali 09.09.2025
I saved up for months to buy a great bass guitar. Initially I purchased the Spector NS Dimension MS 4 HP (Black) from Thomann, however it had a torsional twist in the neck which caused really horrible fret buzz. I took it to 2 luthiers who independently verified that it indeed has a torsional twist. Thomann was very accommodating in accepting the return and refunding the money to me. During this wait, I thought I should try the new updated line of Warwick Rockbasses, and placed an order for the Warwick RB Corvette $$ 4 HV TS.
I had this bass with me for 4 months (April 2025 to September 2025) before I initiated the return. Like the previous bass, this bass also had a horrible fret buzz problem, and this time again I took it to 2 luthiers near me. They both inspected, set the bass up again, modified the truss rod settings, string height etc etc but nothing worked. This time one of the luthiers recommended instead of sedning the bass for return immediately, just to wait for sometime as it is possible that there was not enough acclimatisation period for the wood of the neck because he noticed that if on one day he is adjusting the neck and setting the bass in a certain way, the next day the wood of the neck would expand/contract and the set up would be disturbed. I patiently waited for 4 months for the bass to be acclimatised and took it to luthiers again. There are pictures I have taken where you can see an upwards "bulge" in the neck upwards, affecting the height of the frets that you cannot fix with truss rod adjustment. Between 5th fret and 17th fret the bulge is upwards, and between 1-5 frets the bass (upper neck and head of the bass) is slightly bowed backwards.

To summarise, this is a manufaturing defect. I have initiated the return. Lets see how Thomann handles it.
