Really nice classic wavetable synth

This synth has a good selection of wavetables, plenty of modulation sources and an excellent sound. Workflow is good too. Very impressive software synth and is very similar to the Blofeld at a much lower price. This is a go to for atmospheric, timbre shifting pads and polyphonic leads. Also good for bass's tho I prefer others for that purpose. Highly rated.

Erstaunlich nah am Blofeld

Habe seinerzeit den Waldorf Microwave 1 als ersten Wavetable-Synth besessen, später den Microwave XT und Blofeld gespielt. Deren digitaler, bei Bedarf auch schneidend-aggressiver Klang hat mir ebenso gefallen wie die Möglichkeit, krasse, ungewöhnliche Sounds mit ein paar Handgriffen hinzukriegen. Largo fehlt als Software-Instrument natürlich die Haptik, das Rumschrauben und sofort hörbare, drastische Verändern. Was beim Aufnehmen eine Einschränkung darstellt, sich im Rechner aber mit dem Einsatz von Effekten kompensieren lässt. Vom Klang her liegt der Largo für mein Ohr ziemlich nah an dem, was der Blofeld liefert - insofern volle Punktzahl bei Bedienung und Features. Mit etwas Umgewöhnung hat man den bewährten Waldorf-Klang, aber ein Gerät weniger unterzubringen. Für das Gebotene ist der Preis angemessen. Daumen hoch, Waldorf!
