Ich habe einen Drum Circle und verwende als Pulsgeber üblicherweise ein Steh-Tom, da mir ein Dun Dun oder eine andere afrikanische Alternative zu den Djembes zu teuer ist. Aus reinem Interesse habe ich mir nun die Trommus Trommel bestellt und bin von diesem Instrument begeistert. Obwohl ich nur die Trommel mit dem mittleren Radius (28 cm) habe, bin ich von den satten Bässen sehr begeistert. Die Trommel klingt für mich sehr "afrikanisch". Das macht nicht nur das Naturfell aus, sondern auch der hohe Korpus. Trotzdem ist das Teil robust und unkompliziert. Keine Schnur kann verrutschen und nichts kann so schnell kaputt gehen. Die Trommel passt sehr gut zu Djembes und kann vielleicht auch in einem Unplugged-Ensemble ihren Einsatz finden. Mit dem mitgelieferten Schlägeln bekommt man sehr gute Bass-Beats hin. Die Trommmel lässt sich auch sehr gut mit den Händen spielen. Einzig Slapschläge, wie man sie von der Djembe kennt, funktionieren nicht besonders. Aber, das wird man sich auch nicht erwarten. Ich kann die Trommel nur weiterempfehlen - super Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Eventuell auch zusammen mit der D3u (35 Radius) antesten.
