To be perfectly honest, I haven't had much experience with different snare wires. My snare (Yamaha Steel Snare) had the same wire for the last 23 years and the few other snares that I happenned to play over the years were not mine, so I didn't really have the chance to compare.
So I might not be able to really compare the Millenium wire to other more expensive ones, nevertheless I am really happy with the result I got.
I would definitely buy it again.
