Play your leg with your sticks before you buy it!

The distance between your shoulders and knees is not long enough for a proper and comfortable practice while you are sitting which creates confusion for the purpose of this mount pad. If the sticks should be in the middle of the pad in a relaxed body position then you will be struggling after a while as the distance is not long enough. May be my leg is short but I believe even you have long legs your arms would be long in the same ratio.
It didn't work very well for me but its idea and quality is very good.

Not as shiny as it should be.

It does what it is meant to do but mine had some scratches on the surface and the Meinl package it came in was not sealed, which makes me wonder if I was sent a b-stock.

Considering what it is and the price, I am not really bothered but it would've been nicer to get a better finishing.

Tolles Helferlein, will nicht mehr ohne

Tolles Pad, auf das ich beim Stöbern im Web gestoßen bin. Davor hatte ich (oft und gerne draußen, bei schönem Wetter) ein normales kleines Pad auf dem Oberschenkel platziert, wo es dann mit gewisser Regelmäßigkeit heruntergefallen ist.

Ich bin von diesem Pad begeistert, habe jetzt 2 davon. Es hat durchaus seinen Reiz, auf jedem Knie ein Knee Pad zu verwenden, um das Üben "realistischer" zu gestalten, aber auch, um dann die Feinheiten (auch klanglich, falls verschiedene Pads aufgeschraubt sind) zwischen links und rechts besser herauszuhören. Wobei ich meist mit einem Pad übe bzw. zufrieden bin.

Wenn ich jetzt etwas Negatives suchen müsste, dann vielleicht, dass im Normalfall (Befestigung am Oberschenkel Nähe Knie) der Gurt dermaßen Überlänge hat, dass man sich eine Lösung dafür überlegen könnte. Ich nutze das Pad "nur" in der vorgesehenen Position und habe den überschüssigen Gurt mehrfach übereinandergelegt und mit Klebeband fixiert. Sollte ich mal eine andere Gurtlänge brauchen, müsste ich das wieder umfriemeln.

Wenn man beim Üben (je nach Wetter) schwitzt, hinterlässt der schwarze Schaumstoff auf der Unterseite auf einer Jeans schon mal Verfärbungen (ist mir einmal passiert). Daraufhin habe ich mir in einem Discounter ein paar Handlappen (in blau, grau) gekauft, die ich zwischen Oberschenkel und Pad lege. Damit entfallen die Verfärbungen und wenn die Handlappen (normalerweise verwende ich dann nur einen Lappen) an einem Ende umgeschlagen werden, kann man auch noch das Pad nach Wunsch nivellieren.

Ich habe mir zu diesen 2 Pads noch das dw Steve Smith Knee Practice Pad gekauft, das wesentlich teurer/klobiger ist. Obwohl dieses Pad supergut ist (und mit leicht schräger Pad-Ausrichtung daherkommt, sodass man es je nach Ausrichtung eher für Matched oder für Traditional Grip nutzen kann), will ich betonen, dass das Meinl Knee Pad als "kleine" Alternative trotzdem voll überzeugt. Aber beide Pads zusammen oder im Wechsel sind nochmal eine Bereicherung. Schwer zu empfehlen!
