I play mostly fretless, my second FL, contrabass for 6 years in my youth. For 500 euros a really nice bass. Material and workmanship very good, excellent MM JB neck with C profile, straight cut in the direction years of tree. Bass well pre-set with QC check from seller. Minus are the marks on the side of the neck, they should be at the ex fret points, where the bass tunes and not between them. Hard to learn to intonate really well that way. I had to refinish the old ones with black lacquer, the new ones with white. Otherwise, weaker bridge... traditional Marcus. I use MarkBass Ultimate Wounded strings, which allow for slap playing. Once all the little things are fine-tuned, it's a great instrument.
