This strap is marketed as a bass guitar strap but it serves equally for guitar, I have three of these - soon to be four as soon as Thomann stock the black version. The quality of the leather is unsurpassed, it is good of weight and thickness but still supple in your hands, the suede finish on the inside is perfect for non-slipping on the shoulder which is a big plus for me and the width of 3.5" spreads the load of a heavy instrument eg. I'm using a Yamaha SG 2000 and a Gibson Les Paul Artisan both from 1976 and these are heavy guitars, the wide strap on a long night is really helpful. Note that the description of 2.5" is not correct the strap is 3.5" wide, I've told Thomann about this so hopefully they'll make the correction. I think this is undoubtedly the finest strap one can buy, I've tried many others - some twice the price but this one is hands down a winner for me.
