Good quality for wood, NOT for metal!!!!

In Thomann's product description of the corresponding sanding blocks this sandpaper is recommended for fret leveling. Unfortunately this sandpaper is very poor for metal frets. It clogs up and gets dull almost immediately. I also tested it for polishing frets after leveling/crowing with the same poor result. Any decent quality sandpaper from your local hardware store will probably do a better job with frets.

It works great when used on wood though and it's a perfect fit for radius sanding blocks. I've leveled several fretboards using this sandpaper with excellent results.

Recommended for wood/fingerboards. Not recommended for frets.

Fret leveling

Used it for leveling the frets of a brand new strat that was must have skipped the ordinary quality control for the neck. I decided not to return the guitar just because i loved the finishing and the sound of the pickups. Attached to a sanding block of the appropriate radius, the paper did its job just great.
Of course fret polishing was required after that, but that's another story.

Might seem a minor item to review, but it’s often the little things that can irritate if they are not right. This works excellently with the Hosco short sanding blocks with radius. Just the perfect amount of adhesive to hold it to the block but then peel off very easily without leaving any sticky residue. Ideal!

parfait pour faire ses touches de guitare.
Il ce colle trés facilement sur une cale radius et se retire tout aussi bien.
Son temps d'utilisation est relativement long et son encrassement pratiquement nul.
