Professional dynamic vocal microphone

The Sennheiser E 935 is a versatile, dynamic vocal microphone renowned worldwide for its natural renditions and versatility across a wide range of musical genres. Its extended frequency response and finely tuned voicing deliver a balanced sound signature, easily cutting through the mix with well-defined lows, a present midrange, and crisp, articulate highs. Unlike many vocal microphones in its class, the E 935 avoids harshness or sibilance, making it a reliable choice for both studio and live applications. The cardioid polar pattern provides a wider pickup angle compared to the supercardioid E 945, offering greater flexibility for vocalists who move on stage. Encased in a durable and matte black metal housing, the E 935 is built to withstand the rigours of touring, while its lightweight design ensures comfort during extended use. A microphone clip is included for secure mounting.

Precision engineering for live performance

The E 935 excels at capturing the full range of the human voice, and its wide 40Hz to 18kHz frequency response is exceptionally linear and smooth. Its cardioid polar pattern ensures excellent off-axis rejection, minimising background noise and feedback, while the humbucking coil reduces electromagnetic interference. The shock-resistant capsule effectively dampens handling noise and vibrations, making it ideal for high-energy performances. With a sensitivity of 2.8mV/Pa at 1kHz, the E 935 delivers a strong, clear signal without requiring phantom power. The XLR output ensures seamless integration with any mixing console, while the compact design (151mm long, 47mm in diameter) and robust construction make it a dependable tool for demanding live environments.

Intuitive design for all skill levels

The E 935 is as user-friendly as it is technically advanced, making it an excellent choice for both beginners and professionals. Its natural frequency response requires minimal EQ adjustments, allowing sound engineers to achieve a polished mix quickly. The microphone's resistance to handling noise and feedback ensures consistent performance, even in challenging acoustic environments. The absence of an on/off switch eliminates the risk of accidental disengagement, while the durable metal construction ensures longevity in high-use scenarios such as clubs or rental setups. Additionally, the E 935's bright high-end response makes it suitable for capturing percussion instruments, further expanding its versatility.

About Sennheiser

In June 1945, Prof. Fritz Sennheiser founded the Wennebostel Laboratory, which initially produced measuring equipment. Commissioned by Siemens in 1945, the young company developed the MD-1 microphone, which was launched in 1946. After the development of further microphones, the company was renamed Sennheiser Electronic in 1958. Two years later, Sennheiser introduced the MD 421 dynamic microphone, which is still in production today and still held in high esteem by many sound engineers. Further groundbreaking developments, such as the HD 414 headphones and the classic MD 441 microphone, hugely enhanced the company's international reputation, eventually making Sennheiser one of the leading manufacturers of microphone and headphone systems in the world.

Customisable solutions for every setup

The E 935 can be tailored to meet the needs of any performance setup. For multi-microphone configurations, the Sennheiser MZQ 800 microphone clip provides a secure and convenient mounting solution. The MZW4032ANT windshields, featuring a colour-coded identification system, are ideal for setups with multiple vocalists, allowing each performer to easily identify their microphone. For added hygiene and durability, replaceable grilles are available, enabling quick and easy swaps between performers. These accessories ensure that the E 935 remains a versatile and reliable tool for any live sound application.

A
Really Impressive Mic *****
Anonymous 09.11.2016
Sennheiser E 935 is a microphone with a very good definition and price/quality ratio.
I used to use it at practice and at small and big gigs. I play Sennheiser switched directly on the mixer (Soundcraft) or play it linked on my VoiceLive Play form Tc Helicon.
Before buying my Sennheiser E 935 I used a Shure SM58 tradicional but had some problems of equalization and presence on the mix. Shure has a sound with to many bass and low mid frequencies and lose too many presence without treble and high mids. With Shure I always verified that it had little gain on the mixer. When I bought Sennheiser I never had the same problems again. My voice is so clear on the mix and mic has much gain and sound definition than the other.
I believe that Sennheiser E935 is ideal to people who searchs a great sound, essentialy. It has a great price and is one of best mics from its price range. Even for the people who haven't to much money to spend (180/200¤) in a mic, or have some doubts of buying Sennheiser in alternative of another one, they have to compare products and think about buying it because this mic is really dynamic and has great quality..

M
amazing dynamic microphone
Maphus 07.08.2024
The Sennheiser E 935 is an amazing dynamic microphone that's perfect for both live gigs and studio sessions. From the moment I started using it, I noticed a significant boost in vocal clarity and presence.

This mic does a fantastic job at making vocals stand out. Its cardioid pickup pattern focuses on the main sound source and blocks out background noise, giving you a crisp, clear sound that cuts through the mix. Whether you're performing in a noisy venue or recording at home, your voice will come through loud and clear.

The build quality is impressive, too. The solid metal construction feels really durable and can definitely handle the wear and tear of regular use. It's also great at resisting feedback, which is a huge plus for live performances on loud stages.

One thing I love about the E 935 is its versatility. It works well with all kinds of vocal styles, whether you're singing softly or belting out powerful notes. The frequency response is balanced, so your voice sounds natural and true to life.

Overall, the Sennheiser E 935 is a top-notch microphone that delivers excellent sound quality and reliability. If you're a singer looking to up your game, this mic is a fantastic choice. Highly recommended!

B
Best Vocal Mic For Professionals
BenA 06.07.2018
So, the standard "SM58" is what most people go for. Why? Goodness knows. It is just a 57 capsule after all. They sound like someone has stuck a sock in front of your mouth.
If you are a professional and not "that bloke in the pub", the E935s are the way to go. The clarity from the frequency response is mind blowing. Female voices have plenty of "air" and male voices have that too plus a smoothe low end. Due to the pick up pattern, feedack and bleed is drastically reduced thus making your job as a tech much easier.
Sure it may be a little more expensive than your average 58, but these E935s are beyond compare and worth every penny. If you want the pro edge to your shows, use these.

J
Jinish 24.11.2024
I recently bought the Sennheiser E 935 from Thomann, and the entire experience, from purchase to performance, has been fantastic. Here’s my honest take after using this mic extensively:

What I Loved

1. Outstanding Sound Quality:
The E 935 produces crisp, natural, and balanced vocals. It captures the warmth of my voice without losing clarity, making it perfect for both live gigs and studio rehearsals. It has this ability to cut through the mix, which is a game-changer during live performances with a full band.
2. Rugged Build:
The microphone feels extremely solid in hand. The robust metal construction assures me it can take a beating on the road or during hectic setups. I also appreciate its sleek design—it looks as professional as it performs.
3. Feedback Resistance:
I’ve used this mic in some noisy environments, and the feedback rejection is incredible. It allows me to focus on my performance without constantly worrying about tweaking EQ settings to control unwanted squeals.
4. Great Buying Experience with Thomann:
Thomann’s service was impeccable. The mic was securely packaged, shipped promptly, and arrived in perfect condition. It’s always a pleasure buying from them because of their reliability and competitive pricing.

What Could Be Better

1. Pricey for Casual Users:
While the performance is top-notch, the price might feel steep for someone just starting out. That said, it’s worth every penny if you’re serious about your sound quality.
2. Handling Noise:
Although it’s minimal, I did notice some handling noise when holding the mic. I’d recommend using it on a stand for the best results.
