Something old, something new

The updated version of the Sadowsky MetroExpress 21 now features a neck made from roasted maple; roasting not only gives the wood its rich caramel hue, but also significantly improves its resistance to climatic fluctuations. The body is crafted from okoume, while the fingerboard on this model is also made of roasted maple and features 21 easily playable nickel-silver frets. The MetroExpress 21 has a relatively flat fingerboard, 47.5mm nut width, and 18mm string spacing, ensuring effortless playability for both traditional and modern techniques. At the heart of this Hybrid PJ5 variant is its classic pickup configuration: A split-coil P-style pickup paired with a noiseless single-coil J-style pickup (hence the suffix "PJ"). These work in perfect harmony with the renowned Sadowsky two-band boost-only preamp. The high-quality chrome hardware is manufactured in-house and includes a quick-release bridge, height-adjustable nut, and security locks.

Der Sadowsky Metro Express 21 Hybrid PJ 5 Morado RM TSBist ein Bass, der konzipiert ist für diejenigen, die einen klassischen Look bevorzugen, aber auf moderne Annehmlichkeiten wie eine tiefe B-Saite, mühelose Bespielbarkeit und Flexibilität nicht verzichten wollen. Der Metro Express 21 Hybrid bietet dank seiner PJ-Tonabnehmern klanglich das Beste von P- und J-Style-Bässen. Damit ist er ein Allrounder und hervorragend für alle Genres und Spieltechniken geeignet. Der aktive Sadowsky-On-Board-Preamp ermöglicht eine Vielzahl an knackigen und drückenden Sounds. Schaltet man in den Passiv-Modus, lassen sich dem Metro Express 21 problemlos authentische Vintage-Klänge entlocken. Über Sadowsky

Seit über 40 Jahren steht der Name Sadowsky für professionelle High-End-E-Bässe, E-Gitarren und Archtop-Jazz-Gitarren. Ende der 70er Jahre startete Roger Sadowsky zunächst mit einer Werkstatt, in der er Instrumente anderer Marken auf seiner Werkbank hatte. In den 80er Jahren begann er dann, seine Vision der Instrumente umzusetzen. Dank prominenter Kundschaft, wie z.B. Marcus Miller und Will Lee, erlangte der Name Sadowsky bald einen weltweiten Ruf. Legendär ist ebenfalls der von Roger entwickelte On-Board-Preamp für Bässe. Nachdem Roger die Nachfrage nach seinen Instrumenten nicht mehr bewältigen kannte, baute er unter dem Namen Metro eine Produktion in Japan auf. Seit 2019 hat die deutsche Company Warwick äußerst erfolgreich die Produktion der Metro-Bässe übernommen und der Name Sadowsky ist somit heute noch populärer als je zuvor.
