Insanely good bass

Bought this as a back up to my fender mustang short scale, this is a very similar size and weight, didnt require any setup, played great out of the box once tuned up, has some nice. Looking hardware, paint and neck finish is flawless... sounds as good as it looks, loads of sustain! Has selectable p/J pick ups, they are meaty even with standard strings, neck is slightly slimmer than the fender equivilant, not necesarally a bad thing.
im really impressed for the money... had to wait 4-5 weeks to get in stock... but well worth the wait

Op zoek naar een shortscale bas, zoek niet verder, helaas was mijn eerste exemplaar beschadigd toen hij binnen kwam, geretourneerd dus en meteen een nieuwe besteld omdat ze gingen als warme broodjes, gelukkig de laatste binnengekregen, ditmaal een onbeschadigd exemplaar.
Zo uit de doos nagenoeg perfect afgesteld, keurig afgewerkte fretjes, mooie balans tussen beide elementen, tone werkt over het hele spectrum, klinkt als een klok en speelt zeer gemakkelijk.
Deze Harley Benton zet zijn Fender broeders in de schaduw, zeker wat afwerking betreft, neckpocket is mooi tight, zo heb ik ze bij menig ander merk nog niet gezien.
Sound blijft altijd persoonlijk en gelukkig is er gezien de prijs voor degene die het wil genoeg ruimte om e.e.a. aan te passen maar voor mij is hij helemaal geweldig zo, denk zelfs dat ik het 5 snarige PJ broertje van dezelfde serie erbij ga bestellen.
Gewicht is precies hetzelfde als van de Sire U5, net iets over de 3,6kg.
Als je er één in handen kunt krijgen dan aarzel niet.

Très belle petite basse mimi comme tout !
Finition impeccable, manche agréable, son nickel ! Pour le prix je trouve ça cool !
Je l’ai acheté pour développer la technique au médiator, le diapason court me paraissant plus accessible que le standard. Elle sonne bien, c’est étonnant !? Quelques réglages à faire (voir un luthier si vous ne savez pas) et changement de cordes (D’addario EXL160S pour ma part)
2 petits points négatifs, mais vraiment rien de grave :
- l’équilibre ; ça penche légèrement coté manche
- j’ai dû limer le pontet de corde sol pour pouvoir baisser la hauteur du réglage
