This book I bought for my child, because he really started getting into jazz. After some months now, my son really loves it. But it is not for complete beginners, you still need to have some basic knowledge about music theory and be able to read notes.

Genau was ich gesucht habe

Ich kenne mich gut in Musiktheorie aus, auch in Jazz-Theorie und -Praxis. Aber mir fehlte der Blick auf das Ganze, und auf das, was da eigentlich statfindet. Den gibt es hier.
Es ist ein gutes Lehrbuch. Ich finde, auch vor allem auch deshalb, weil es sich an die dynamische Seite, auf die emotionale Ebene, traut und die Dinge klar ausspricht.
Man lernt hier nicht die Werkzeuge der Musik-Theorie, aber man lernt, wie sie in der Praxis im Zusammenhang Sinne machen. Bei Musiktheorie kann der Schwerpunkt auf Musik oder auf Theorie liegen. Hier liegt er auf Musik.
