Saz 166-BSW Turkish Oud Walnut BK

Honestly before buying this Aoud I didn't expect much of it, due to the price.

The sound is Ok, it is not that one which will warm up your heart over an Aoud, but is just ok.

For me, the most disturbing thing is tuning and holding the tuning:
* When tuning, for many strings it is so difficult to get the right tuning. Sometimes I move the pegs just by a millimeter and the pitch unexpectedly jumps very high or very low (relatively to the direction).

* The Aoud doesn't really hold the tuning for long (even when not playing it). So regular tuning is required, the thing that is so frustrating for me.

The Aoud is very light which reflects that the wood is very thin. Except the risk on the robustness of the Aoud against an accidental shock, for me it is good that it is light and the size of the Aoud body is just perfect for me, not big but maybe it's the standard for the turkish Aoud (Arabic ones are bigger).

I bought it to train myself on fretless instruments, for occasional playing.

Except this, it is a cute Aoud, although some explicit visual gluing.

Today, my budget doesn't allow high quality Aoud, but I will upgrade one day and go for an Arabic Aoud which is my favorite (deep sound).

Pas d'illusions, ce n'est pas un jouet que j'ai reçu, mais bien un instrument digne de ce nom. Bon évidement, ce n'est pas de la grande lutherie, mais il a quand même de la gueule et sonne comme attendu, ni plus, ni moins. Un super oud pour débuter, c'est celui qu'il vous faut, confirmés passez votre chemin...
