Just a great slide

I've been watching Ariel Posen for a long time now, and just had to get his signature slide. Mainly because of two reasons: (1) the balltip end, and (2) the fit. I tried it in a store once and while I didn't purchase it on the spot, it fit just right on my pinky. So I finally bought it.

It's a *great* slide. The quality seems very high, and it does its job nicely. This is honestly the first slide that I could see myself keeping on my finger all throughout a song, even if I just use slide on certain parts. It fits so well. The balltip end is a nice touch, although I use it actively less than I had thought. One thing that it does for sure though, is that I never get "stuck" on lower strings with the end of the slide. That's a nice feature .

Even though I'll give this the highest score, I want to mention that it's not a tool that does it all. When playing acoustic, I found the slide sound to be a bit on the treble-y side of things. Hence, I started looking into ceramic slides for acoustic guitars, and ended up with a very different one (still The Rock Slide though) that sounded fuller - and perhaps a tiny bit more sustain...? So summing things up: I'm using the Ariel Posen slide for electric and the ceramic for acoustic guitar. I love them both.

Very nice, but beware the size!

This was a little bit of a gamble for me, I don't have big hands, measured my little finger and thought it might just fit. It did not! Read another review that said it will fit an average sized male finger. Trust me, it won't! Unless you have a rather misrepresented view of what a normal sized male little finger looks like. ;-) Even Mr. Posen himself says in an interview he has very slinky fingers. So, measure your finger - particularly your knuckle - carefully, 17,5 mm is not much. I'm sadly sending it back awaiting a normal sized version.

Fantastic slide

Fantastic slide that will fit nicely on your little finger that covers first joint of your finger so you can still move your finger. It has just enough amount of weight and it isn't too heavy. Rounded top wont stuck on your string. Great product!

a bit too small and overpriced

for a piece of brass this is pretty expensive, but it comes attached with the name of one of today's hot slide guitarists, so there's that. I wanted to try it so I did buy it along with the Joey Landreth one. I found both a tad too short and tight - I have big hands, but my fingers are by no means fat. Maybe these guys have smaller hands. I like the idea of the cutout but I have to use it on the wrong side to compensate for the shortness of the slide. As far as tone - any brass slide of similar thickness will sound exactly the same.
