Great utility pedal with minor QC flaws

Had it for about two years now.

Bad stuff: Had to return the first one I got because the push button on the rotarypot didn't work, so I couldn't get in the menus or adjust other frequencies. Thomann did a great job handling this. Got a new one but it had the same problem. Annoyed, I took off the knob and tightened the nut. And that fixed it, no problem to this day. So maybe some issues with final QC from SourceAudio.

Other than that, really powerful utility with noise gate, limiter, tuner, alot of useful routing options and probably more functions that I havent used yet. And most of it midi controllable.

I use it to change sound pre/post distortion, brighten up my HB guitar for cleans, tuning, as a boost, compensating volume between different sounds etc.

If you just want a set and forget eq or just use one setting, maybe this is a little bit overkill. But if you want alot of utility functions in one small package and you use midi then definitely try it.

Works wonders for me and my Midi switchable pedalboard.
Switching between guitars with different output levels, just switch preset and it's even.

Takes a while to setup the presets directly on the pedal as there is only one knob to control, but once they're set you don't need to think about it again.

There's so many options in this pedal, it's everything and so much more that you would need from an EQ pedal and I can't see myself switching this one out for anything else for the foreseeable future.

A must for a midi system

I was looking for a midi enabled EQ and wanted a small unit rather than some of the larger options.

I use this in the loop of my Mesa Boogie Triaxis, in place of the most hated 'Dynamic Voice'.

Having the ability to handle stereo options, means I have a different EQ set left and right.

As I change programs on my amp, this unit also changes.

The other important consideration, is this unit can connect to my Mac. I found it really easy, to set the EQ per channel by ear, using the computer whilst I played in each section of each song in my band.

Had to get in touch with Source Audio for a few minor things. Their service was outstanding - extremely helpful. That, for me, is also a BIG consideration. You find out how good any seller or manufacturer is, when you have to contact them for assistance.

Highly recommend this unit.

The best pedal Eq for live application

I've created a preset to eliminate some small issues of my 175 revealed in the recording studio. In live application this is fantastic, ampli flat and a good focused studio-like sound, no mud etc.
Encouraged by this experience I used this Eq in studio and perhaps I made a mistake here: the sound is detailed but a bit impoverished and harsh compared, for example, to the Neve 551 which remains sweet and rich in that application, although perhaps less precise. But these are fixations and maybe that's not its main field of use. Absolutely recommended.
