Dessa mickar är makalöst mångsidiga. Låt dig inte luras av Malmsteen-namnet (även om det var därför jag blev intresserad från första början ...).

Otroligt dynamiska och reagerar bra på volumkontrollen.

Six months on ...

I've been using the YJM pickguard for six months now and am generally happy with it. It was fairly expensive, but was very very easy to fit (I hadn't been near to a soldering iron in years and it was very straightforward) and the quality of the wiring and build is outstanding. My one problem is that the tone of the neck pickup isn't to my personal liking, as if you roll the tone off the neck pickup so as to get a very fat sound, as I like to do, the volume is affected to such an extent, that it ruins the sound. I've used lots of Stratocasters over the years and not once had such a pronounced loss of volume with the tone rolled off as I have with the this neck Seymour Duncan. The other two pickups are fine. The tone and volume knobs are very smooth, which I like ... the volume knob is the best that I've ever used for sounds swells/violin notes.

Overall a good thing ... I still buy it, even allowing for the neck pickup problem.

Great set

I ordered this set to upgrade my Yngwie Signature Strat what originally had DiMarzio pickups.
These are bit hotter but have greater clarity.
I can recommend these, not only overdriven, these sound very good also whit clean amp, I played "Apache" in one gig whit these and clarity and sound was very good.

Best pickups I ever had

I am a big YJM fan and I purchased this pickups to match his sound. Well...I was not disappointed. Being single coil I though they were a little bit weak but then I tried hem and ...wow...they do scream! They are perfect for '80 Hair Metal (White Lion, Dokken...) and the clean tones are beautiful as well! The tone knobs are actually volume knobs so you can dial precisely the volumes of the neck and middle pickups whilst the volume knob is the master volume. the latter is excellent for swellings (violin effects)
