Great pickup (Bass VI)
I bought this to go in the neck position of a Squier Bass VI that I am upgrading. These are the pickups that Robert Smith of the cure chose for his signature Bass VI because they were the closest match to his legendary '60s Bass VI. I am very happy with the sound and the overall quality of the pickup. I am using it with Fender Pure Vintage pickups in the bridge and middle positions. I prefer the sound of the SD, but I had to reverse the wires to avoid phase issues (only a problem if you mix Fender and SD pickups, and a little more complicated with jaguar pickups because you also have to rewire the ground to the claw). One thing that is much nicer about the Fenders is that you get the claw (pre-soldered) and pickup covers, and this is just the pickup. I already had a claw and cover, so not that big of a deal. These also come with strat pickup screws, which are useless here, and the screws that came with the Fenders are very nice. They're also not that much more expensive, made in the USA, and you get both pickups. Bottom line, though, I prefer the sound of this pickup, and now that I've got everything working well together, I'm very happy with it.

Great Upgrade
I upgraded my Made In Japan Jaguar with these pickups; I love my Jag visually but it had always sounded overly thin and weak. These pickups were a massive improvement over the standard p'ups that came with the guitar; nice bell-like tone and means I play the Jag much more these days.
