Worst purchase ever

This could be good design concept, but the quality is among the worst we've come across in studio furniture. We were really hoping for this to be a good quality desk and we waited a long time for Thomann to get it in stock.

First of, this states to be easy and fast to assemble but it requires power tools and you need to drill the screws in place, which means that you cannot assemble and disassemble this without it loosing stability. Huge design oversight. This is not IKEA in ease of build, but it's hardly custom made in terms of quality either.

As soon as we started to put it together the lack of quality became apparent as one of the wood panels cracked. We also had one of the screws break while trying to disassembly it.
This has been described in other reviews as well, so there is some serious quality control issues here.

We reached out to Sessiondesk to get this fixed and some spare part, but now a month on still we haven't heard back from them. We tried to get money back from Thomann since they sold us a product that broke on assembly but they claimed that since it broke while assembling we were responsible.

All in all, this desk cost us a lot of time, and a lot of money. Reviews of Sessiondesk seems to vary from thinking its the best desk ever to, well similar to our experience, which only goes to show that there is some quality control issues going on here.

Beautifully designed, robust and easy to assemble.

Just downsized from an Audient ASP console to more of a production set-up and wanted something that we could easily assemble and set-up in the studio space.

The feel and quality of the product is excellent. It's extremely easy to build with all bracing parts and almost all fixings being exactly the same - what we call a "no brainer".

When the Sessiondesk Oktav arrived, bearing in mind it had to travel the entire way to the South West of England, one part was slightly damaged in transit. I messaged the company and the support was incredible. I was immediately offered a new part, no questions or anything, as it was I was able to fix it easily, a testament to the design, and didn't need the part. However, Lars from Sessiondesk is an absolute gentleman and has been in communication with me throughout.

One of our considerations in purchasing the Oktav was whether it culd be levelled. Out production space is in a basement and the floor is anything but level. Not an issue for the excellent adjustable feet under every section. Was easy to level.

Excellently designed, strong, amazing customer support.

Highly recommended.

Ich habe 7 sessiondesk Teile und bei drei gab es Beanstandungen. Mir tut Thomann etwas leid da die meinen Unmut abbekommen haben, ich bekam unsauber nicht passgenau verarbeitete Teile speziell bei den Alea Teilen, aber auch der Oktav Tisch war und ist eine wackelige Angelegenheit und für den Preis eben nicht gut und genau verarbeitet. Ich bin sogar soweit gegangen den Hersteller anzumailen habe aber bis heute Juni 2021 keine Antwort bekommen...mehrere Mails in 2020 geschickt. Nun zur Langzeit Bewertung. Ich arbeite jeden Tag am Oktav und muss sagen dass er bzw die Oberfläche echt schnell verkratzt und auch dort wo die Handgelenke an der Kante ruhen oder man sie halt platziert rauht es gerne mal auf. Nochmal wäre der Tisch nicht so teuer würde ich das evtl hinnehmen wollen aber bei dem Preis sollte das besser sein. Ich würde jedenfalls wenn ich nicht schon so viel Zeugs von sessiondesk hätte, nicht noch einmal diese Marke bestellen. Die Alearacks wenn die mal stehen is ja alles gut aber wie gesagt der Zusammenbau war ob der Passungenauigkeit ein Ärgerniss....ich musste mir selbst was bauen um die drei Racks aneinander zu einer Einheit zu verbinden, das letzte Rack das ich bestellt habe ist von der Qualität etwas schlechter wie das älteste das ich habe.
