Great sounding guitar but with serious qc issues

I love Schecter guitars, this was supposed to be my third one, but had to return it due to poor quality control and a really bad setup.

The good stuff:
- guitar sounds and (potentially) plays really good
- really nice and thin neck
- thing and lightweight guitar

The bad stuff:
- setup out of the box was very bad. Huge back bow on the neck resulting in all the strings being dead. I understand that small adjustments are almost always necessary, but this no small adjustment. The other 2 schecters I own came setup perfectly.
- the push-pull pot was very loose, had plenty of lateral play and felt like it was spinning by itself. Not the feeling I get from my other guitars
- wierd cracks / hair under the lacquer on the headstock together with some paint masking issues around that spot
- some small object rattling loose in the control cavity. At this point I did not open it to see what it is, the guitar clearly had issues.
- the top burl, well I wouldn't call that burl at all. This was very disappointing. The guitar finish looks nothing like the pictures, including other internet sources or YouTube. It simply was plain and straight wood grain with a few small knot like spots. Very far from what's advertised.

All in all it was a bad lemon and it had to go back - it clearly is a B-stock and somehow I'm loosing my trust in Schecter QC. I would love to have one of those, but I'm not sure if I have the guts to play this lottery again. Hope the rest of you have more luck than me!

Excellent guitar for its price!

Life is a beach 26.07.2021

This guitar is flawless for someone beginner to intermediate like me. It needed a small setup and its ready to rock!. Straight from the first playing I could tell the good quality of the product.
Very lightweight and easy to play. It is perfect for anything from punk to thrash metal. Holds tune perfectly cause of the fixed bridge. As an intermediate level player I recommend this even to beginners.

Great guitar with an even better price

I'm loving this guitar, the neck is very smooth and thin so it is great for metal.
The reverse headstock is just beautiful and the finish is great too, just like on the pictures.
I haven't had any problems and the pickups sound awesome too, they provide good sustain and a great variaty of tones which makes it my favourite guitar.

Overall a pretty good insturments but came with some flaws

The guitar first off is just gorgeous. The body, the top , the neck , everything looks and feels amazing , no doubts about that. However it came with a faulty volume knob which makes the sound crackle and cut off while rotating the pot. Also there was a little dent on the back of the guitar neck which is not too much of a bother, but still. Ah well , I suppose that anything with electronics in it can have a defect every now and then , it's easily fixable so maybe I won't have to return the guitar and get it changed. Feels and sounds amazing while playing it!
