Well build and great sounding mic
I use this for vocals, acoustic guitar and some percussions. It has a clear transient attack and a smooth top end. Not a dull top end, but smooth.
The mic is very quiet. So quiet that it picks up any background noise in the room. So make sure you have a quiet room because anything will be picked up by this bad boy.
The shock mount is sturdy and well built and the magnetic pop filter is brilliant, just snaps on and you're ready to go.
When I used this for really close up spoken word the transients were a bit much so it did not work all that well. Also when used with congas the transients were a bit overwhelming and the tone got a bit low in volume. Almost like a small diaphragm mic.
Given the price point you can't really go wrong with this mic. Well built and works on just about anything.

Outstanding quality and sound on a budget
I needed a good and clean condenser for recording vocals at home and my first thought was to get a Røde NT1a or NT2a, but after reading some comparisons between the two, I choose this instead.
I have previously used a NT2a that I've borrowed from a friend and the first thing I noticed when recording with the LCT440 is that it is quite a lot more flat and precise sounding. It almost reminds me of a SM7B in that it's not very coloured, but it still has all the dynamic range of a condenser. Exactly what I was looking for.
I've been using it for recording regular clean vocals as well as extreme metal vocals, dialog and guitar amps. It works perfectly for everything. The only thing I haven't tested it on yet is drums as I mainly record with electronic drums.
In this price range you won't find condensers that are coloured in a pleasant way, so I find that it's best to look for neutral sounding mics and add colour with pre-amps or plug-ins. This mic is perfect in that way and also very versatile for this reason.
However, it's not as versatile as a multipattern mic and also lacks any built-in filters, so that's why I only give it three stars for features. I don't feel like a need a HP-filter with this mic anyways and I already own a multipattern condenser so this felt like the perfect choice.
I will definitely buy more products from Lewitt in the future!

Super clean sounding mic!
This mic is super basic in it's features but if you know why you're buying it you won't be disappointed. It catches a lot of details but in a clean and uncoloured way. Lots of highs but not in a harsh way. And due to the low signal to noise ratio it produces really clean and natural sound. Recommended!!

My favorite mic!
Having used neumanns, rødes etc i finally found this mic - and its the perfect budget mic! Sounds incredibly clear and without any harshness or "honkyness" often found in the Rødes. Its bright and modern, but still very transparent. Using mine on vocals and drum overheads. Would love an pad-switch as it sounds amazing on snare top but does not handle that kind of extreme SPL.
